Sgt. Jag Soin has been a peace officer with the RCMP for over 25 years. Prior to that he served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 6 years. He is a trained volunteer with the Operational Stress Injury Social Support (OSISS) program (DND & VAC initiative). Providing support to serving and retired military and RCMP personnel and their families who have been impacted by Operational Stress Injuries.
He is an advisor to the Royal Canadian Legion Operational Stress Injury Section. Providing advice to the executive in the development and delivery of Legion programs to the veterans of the Canadian Armed forces and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
He serves as a Peer Support Volunteer for the “Badge of Life Canada”. Providing support to police and corrections personnel who are dealing with psychological injuries diagnosed as a result of their service.
He conducted the pilot of Support for Operational Stress Injury (SOSI) program for serving and retired RCMP employees that has now been adopted by the organization. He currently serves as the Peer to peer coordinator for the RCMP National Headquarters.
