Sergeant Jon James is a 23 year member of the Calgary Police Service. Jon has spent his career on the street in some form of uniform capacity and is currently the sergeant of a traffic response team in the traffic section.
Jon volunteers his time working with the officer addiction program to help those officers suffering from the hopeless state of mind and body caused by addiction. Jon himself has been in recovery from addiction for 4 years.
In his spare time Jon enjoys time with family and being on his back swinging wrenches underneath his 1966 Pontiac muscle car.
Jon will share his story about his struggle with mental health, addiction, and being a police officer in recovery.
